During the month of February, RBC participants get fit logging miles from their workout routines and raise funds using their personalized Patriot Challenge dashboard. Each RBC team tracks their team’s rise up the Patriot Challenge mileage and fundraising leaderboards.
After RBC raises $1,000 and logs 565 collective miles, 50% of funds raised by the RBC teams will be evenly divided among the (list five charities) and the remaining funds GallantFew will use for its veteran transition support programs.
RBC team participants use the hashtag #RBCEmployeeFamilyMember to share stories and photos on social media. RBC may use this content in any of its media to promote the event or any of its fundraising work.
2021 marks the first year of PATRIOT CHALLENGE as the GallantFew’s annual veteran advocacy, community fitness, and fundraising event. From 2012-20202, GallantFew hosted Run Ranger Run each February. To connect more of American to her veterans, PATRIOT CHALLENGE was developed to provide participants “skin in the game” – an opportunity to benefit from their fund raising efforts.
Beginning with registration on May 1, 2020, PATRIOT CHALLENGE participants form team to raise funds for GallantFew’s transition support programs and their own veteran/military support initiatives. After a team of at least 10 participants takes the SPARTAN PLEDGE, logs 565 miles, and raises $1,000 — the team will reach PATRIOT status. PATRIOT teams may receive up to 50% of the funds they receive after the initial $1,000 is raised for a pre-approved local or national initiative to connect America to her veterans.
GallantFew’s PATRIOT CHALLENGE is a nationwide veteran transition advocacy and community fitness event. PATRIOT CHALLENGE brings together military and civilian PATRIOTS each February to raise funds for GallantFew’s transition support programs as well as national and local military and veteran support initiatives.
For eight consecutive years, GallantFew’s Run Ranger Run grew in participants across our great nation. In 2012, Army Ranger Cory Smith ran 565 miles from Fort Benning, Ga. to his home in Indianapolis, Ind. to bring awareness to the challenges facing transitioning service members. As a salute to our first PATRIOT, our inaugural PATRIOT CHALLENGE teams will continue the Run Ranger Run tradition of logging 565 combined miles in February 2021.
Run, walk, bike, climb, skate or lift. If you can exercise, you can be a PATRIOT!
